The first step is to schedule an appointment for consultation with Dr. Leung. At your consultation, Dr. Leung will meet with you to discuss your goals for enhancement. Following an evaluation, he will discuss both surgical and nonsurgical treatments that are suitable for your treatment.

 

If you choose a surgical procedure, he will review your health history to determine if you are a good candidate for surgery.

 

A full medical history is taken. A good candidate for a surgical procedure would be in good general health and either be a nonsmoker or in the process of quitting smoking. Candidates under care for uncontrolled hypertension, heart problems, and/or breathing problems such as bronchitis and severe asthma and those with bleeding disorders require primary care physician clearance before surgery.

 

During the consultation, all steps of the procedure will be discussed -- the benefits of the surgery, recovery time, and treatment alternatives will be reviewed. Dr. Leung will create a unique care plan for you. His advice will always have your best interest at heart. Dr. Leung will not offer a procedure if he thinks the procedure is not beneficial to your needs. He will recommend only procedures that are approved by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.

 

Dr. Leung performs all procedures with the emphasis on patient comfort and reducing or eliminating pain. He uses local anesthetic injections and numbing creams for minor procedures. If general anesthesia is used, Dr. Leung will have a board-certified M.D. anesthesiologist administer the anesthesia.

 

Dr. Leung will discuss the details of the surgery in "easy to understand" terms. From his photographic files containing hundreds of before and after photographs, Dr. Leung will select photos of patients with facial features or body types comparable to yours so you will have a realistic idea of the results you can expect to make a well-informed decision regarding your choice of treatment.

 

At the end of the consultation, you will meet with one of Dr. Leung's patient coordinators. She will provide you with a price quote, explain the cost to the procedure, financing options available, schedule the surgery, and walk you through each step of the process.
